Casting My Cares

This morning I woke up hearing so clearly, “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV) I woke up with cares. Like before my eyes even opened I was aware that I already had several thoughts that threatened to take any moments of peace away. From the health of loves ones to focusing on my relationship with God through Jesus Christ, to working a corporate job while working on my business, while reminding myself to go at God’s pace and not allow what I think I see to push me prematurely. I woke up full of cares. Then I was reminded of the above scripture because it was the last thought I remember before falling asleep. Cast my cares. It means to throw everything that is causing anxiety, worry, stress to Christ because He cares for me. It means I carry things needlessly when I refuse to take it to the One who already has everything worked out for His glory that works in our favor. So if you find yourself taken by cares (thoughts) that shape your day, throw them to Jesus in prayer and allow His care to consume you. Casting my cares, Sonia
